Our Goals at STEM4Learning

I am Allan Miller, a Technology Integrationist, Innovational Learning Coach and international consultant passionate about great STEM teaching and learning.

I founded STEM4Learning in 2020 to serve as a means to create new professional development opportunities both in the US and around the world.

My own learning journey in Engineering Education has been shaped over the past thirty years by the students, parents and faculty from schools as diverse as Alaskan villages,  Vermont farm towns, Uzbekistan cities and the Russian Far East.    It is my hope that within this site's pages you will find ideas that can help us all improve the future by being the best teachers we can be.   For as Christa McAuliffe said "I touch the future, I teach."

Currently my focus is in Uzbekistan, an adventure that began with a Fulbright Distinguished Teacher Fellowship in 2020 training 30 teachers at the Samarqand Institute for Teacher Training on strategies for engaging students through STEM. Every where I travel in Uzbekistan I find incredibly committed and enthusiastic teachers striving to provide their young people with 21st century skills and learning - and it’s a pleasure to support them anyway I can.  Currently that means working with 60 English teachers in Samarqand and Urgench over the next year, sharing strategies for adding fun, focus and rigor to their teaching.
