Our Goals at STEM4Learning

I am Allan Miller, an Applied STEM / Design Technology teacher, Innovational Learning Coach and international consultant passionate about great STEM teaching and learning.

I founded STEM4Learning in 2020 to serve as a means to create new professional development opportunities both in the US and around the world.

My own learning journey in Engineering Education has been shaped over the past forty years by the students, parents and faculty from schools as diverse as Alaskan villages,  Vermont farm towns, Uzbekistan cities and the Russian Far East.    It is my hope that within this site's pages you will find ideas that can help us all improve the future by being the best teachers we can be.   For as Christa McAuliffe said "I touch the future, I teach."

Currently my focus is in Nha Trang, Vietnam, an adventure that began with a Fulbright Specialist Fellowship in 2024 training over 500 students and faculty at the College of Pedagogy on strategies for engaging early childhood students through STEM. This came after completing a 3 year project in Uzbekistan supporting English teachers blending STEM and language learning. Everywhere I travel I find incredibly committed and enthusiastic teachers striving to provide their young people with 21st century problem solving skills and critical thinking through STEM - and it’s a pleasure to support them anyway I can.
